It was the early 90’s, when these two brothers dreamt and began their journey. Inspired by artists like Big Daddy Cane, Chubb Rock, and countless others, Dirt Platoon has become a longstanding voice for true school hip-hop in the city of Batlimore. When asked about the concept for the group name, the response was very simple, “We felt like the state of hip hop was all gloss and floss, so we wanted to go left, when everyone else was going right.” With their aggressive tone and their Bmore-inspired storytelling, Raf and Snook have made the group one the most recognizable names in the city. Dirt Platoon conveys the lifestyle of the Baltimore inner-city streets with their raw, gutter style that many artists lack today.

In 2010, Dirt Platoon linked up with Brake Fast Records and released "Deeper Than Dirt", which has been consistently lauded by critics throughout the DMV.
